About

Harry Zhao is an toronto based artist and researcher. His work spans from robotics, interactive installations to digital media. His practice aims to build and discover an alternative relationship between humans and machines/robots.

He makes robots that do weird things. Some crawl around looking for edges, some look for darkness, some are trying to tend to their own feelings by staying still.

He calls them Iterative Creatures, creature-like robots who explore and interact with the physical world, and inevitably with humans, on their own terms.

Harry holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Digital Futures program from the Ontario College of Art and Design University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Technology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
